The Happy Hive is an inclusive indoor play space designed for kids of all abilities to explore, imagine, and grow. Inspired by our son Nate, who is autistic, we built The Happy Hive to be the kind of place we wish had existed when he was little — a safe, welcoming environment where every child can thrive exactly as they are.
Our space features a variety of engaging activities, sensory-friendly equipment, and creative play areas that encourage movement, social interaction, and confidence-building. We believe in fostering a sense of belonging for the whole community, offering a judgment-free environment where parents can relax and children can simply be themselves.
As a former speech-language pathologist and elementary school teacher, Erika brings years of experience working with autistic and neurodiverse children, while Chris ensures the Hive runs smoothly behind the scenes. Together, we’re committed to creating a space where play is for every body — because inclusion isn’t just part of what we do, it’s at the heart of who we are.
